2021 Hyundai Elantra in Butler, PA

The Hyundai Elantra received a new look for the 2021 model year. In addition to the bold exterior look, this compact sedan has an upscale cabin, two different engine options, and a long list of safety features. For 2021, the Elantra received a complete redesign from top to bottom with new tech and a new hybrid option. Here’s a look at the exciting drive you can get with the redesigned 2021 Elantra sedan.

The Power

The base engine for the 2021 Elantra is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine that produces 147 horsepower. The new Elantra Hybrid arrives in 2021 combining a 1.6-liter four-cylinder gas engine with an electric motor. Together, these engines generate 139 horsepower and work with a six-speed automatic transmission. Hyundai also has a new N-Line Elantra for 2021. It gets its power from a 1.6-liter gas turbo four-cylinder engine and works with either a six-speed manual transmission or Hyundai’s seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

The Upscale Cabin

Hyundai updated the Elantra’s cabin for 2021. It now has an LED strip that runs along with the dashboard, and the center console has a driver-focused design. Cloth upholstery comes in the SE with leather added to the Limited and the N Line trims. A height-adjustable driver’s seat comes as standard equipment, with a power-adjustable driver’s seat available with the Premium Package for the SEL trim. The SEL also offers the option for heated front seats. The N Line trim comes with sport front seats with extra bolstering.

The Technology

Technology is an essential part of your driving experience, and the Elantra has a long list of standard tech features. An eight-inch touch screen comes in the SE, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two USB ports, and a four-speaker stereo. The SEL adds satellite radio and the option for a wireless smartphone charging pad and a 10.25-inch digital display for the driver. The Hyundai digital key is an option as part of the Premium package, which also comes with an eight-speaker Bose stereo. The Limited adds a 10.25-inch touch screen with navigation and an upgraded voice recognition system.

The Safety Features

Any drive can be exciting with the latest safety features. All Elantra models come standard with forward collision mitigation and warning, pedestrian detection, a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-keep assist. Hyundai also provides a driver attention warning system in every model. This will provide an alert to the driver if the system senses inattentiveness. Adaptive cruise control is available for the SEL with the Convenience Package; this comes standard with the Limited. The top-level Limited also adds rear automatic braking.

Optional for any Elantra is the smart cruise control system which will maintain a set distance from the driver in front of you. The available Safety Exit Assist feature provides an audio alert if it’s not safe for passengers to get out of the vehicle.

These innovative changes for the 2021 Hyundai Elantra make it even more exciting to drive. It has a sleek new look, upgrades in the cabin, and more tech than ever.
