With its unibody construction and nimble chassis, Hyundai’s Santa Cruz combines the easy handling of a car with the versatility of a pickup. The compact truck also boasts an intelligent all-wheel drive system and a roomy, inviting cabin. Here’s your introduction to the 2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz—now on sale at your premier Hyundai dealership!

Power and Performance

In SE and SEL trim, the Santa Cruz is equipped with a 191-horsepower 2.5L inline-4, but Night, XRT, and Limited models get a turbocharged variant of the motor that generates 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. Instead of pairing with the standard 8-speed Shiftronic automatic transmission, the turbo engine has its power delivered to the drive wheels through an 8-speed wet dual-clutch transmission that driving enthusiasts are sure to love.

Hyundai TRACtion (HTRAC) all-wheel drive is available across the lineup and standard on turbocharged models. Not only does this advanced system use numerous sensors to determine how much torque to send to each wheel in order to maximize traction, but it makes minute braking adjustments for added grip. Combine it with the Santa Cruz’s fully independent suspension and you have a truly capable off-roading vehicle.

Towing and Hauling

When it comes to towing, the Santa Cruz impresses with a standard capacity of up to 3,500 pounds. Turbocharged models only increase that limit to 5,000 pounds. Every Santa Cruz will be able to carry over 1,400 pounds of payload within its durable truck bed. The bed itself provides added practicality with its available T-slot utility tracks, 115-volt power outlet, and bed fence, which allows for the loading of longer items.

Passenger Cabin

The Santa Cruz’s interior sports a sophisticated design with its streamlined dashboard, high-quality trim, and well-fitted components. Passenger space is generous and includes close to 40 inches of headroom, 41.4 inches of front legroom, and 36.5 inches of rear legroom. An available power sunroof makes the cabin feel even more open. The supportive seats can be wrapped in premium cloth or H-Tex upholstery.

Most trims come standard with dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support, and heated front seats.

Infotainment

An 8-inch touchscreen display is included on SE and SEL models, where its infotainment system features wireless smartphone integration with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth hands-free technology, and HD Radio. The system that comes with the available 10.25-inch screen offers dynamic voice recognition and connected navigation with live traffic updates. A booming Bose premium audio system can be found on the Limited model.
