The Palisade comes equipped with a powerful 3.8L V6 engine under the hood that’s rated at a remarkable 291 horsepower with average fuel efficiency ratings of 19 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway in front-wheel drive and 19 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway in all-wheel drive.
What’s New for 2023?
The Palisade received a facelift in 2023, which results in a square-shaped profile and brand-new wheel designs that give the outside of the SUV a modern, futuristic appearance. Inside, a number of new features have been added, including a standard 12-inch infotainment display and a redesigned steering wheel. A new trim level, the XRT, ​offers the same features as the SEL trim but offers a blacked-out exterior and unique 20-inch wheels.
New options are also available, though some do come standard on higher-level trims. These include a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot, a massaging driver’s seat, and heated third-row seats, as well as remote start and locking functionality through Amazon’s Alexa and Google’s Assistant software.

The refreshed interior of the Palisade offers comfortable seating for up to eight adults, though choosing to replace the second-row bench seat with captain’s chairs will reduce that to seven. The trunk offers 18 cubic feet of storage space, and flipping down the third row expands that to 46 cubic feet. An active noise cancellation system helps keep the cabin calm and quiet even on the highway.
