Collision repair doesn’t mean just repairing damage caused by impact with another car. This process covers any repair of any damage caused by accident. As your Hyundai dealer in Pittsburg, PA we can repair any type of damage to your car. Most drivers aren’t familiar with the process, so we’d like to tell you more about how we can perform a quality repair for you.

Check-In

Depending on the damage, your car will be driven or towed into our repair center. As soon as it arrives, one of our Hyundai-trained technicians will begin a full inspection of the damage. Our technicians are experts at damage assessment and repair.

While our technician is producing a damage report on your Hyundai, we’ll help you with the check-in process and update any of your details. If your insurance is arranging the repair, we’ll ask for their details so we can liaise with them on the repairs. When check-in is complete, we can help you arrange a hire car or offer you a shuttle service to your home or office.

Estimate

The report prepared by our technician is used to plan the repair. We’ll produce an estimate for the cost and time for the repair and send it to you. If your insurance is arranging the repair, we’ll send a copy to them too. We know you want to get your car back on the road ASAP, and we’ll work with your insurance provider to speed up the approval process.

Tear Down and Pre-Repair

Your insurance may request a teardown, where we remove all of the damaged body sections for their assessors. When we receive approval from you or your insurance company, we’ll draw the necessary spare parts from our parts department, and technicians will be assigned to work on the damaged sections of your car.

Repair

A repair process varies widely, as the process depends on the type and level of damage. In each case, however, we will return your car to showroom level again. Sometimes the damage is cosmetic and can be repaired by paintless dent repair. At other times, frame straightening of other structural work may be required.

We provide a planned time for completion with your estimate, and we’ll keep you informed on the progress.

Quality Inspection and Collection

When the repairs are complete, your car will pass to a new team who will perform a quality inspection. Our repairs are completed to Hyundai standard, and we check the repair to ensure that it’s perfect and nothing has been missed. Once this stage is complete, your car will be ready for collection.

If you’ve experienced an accident, call us ASAP at Mike Kelly Hyundai Our experts will have your car perfectly restored in no time.
