Chinese Food in Butler, PA

Butler, PA is a small city in the Greater Pittsburgh Region. It may be small, but it’s a wonderful city that once earned the title of Best Small Town in America from Smithsonian Magazine. As with most small towns, Butler has the distinction of being a great place for children. If you’re looking for some fun kid-friendly activities, this is the city for you.

 

 

 

1. Pioneer Drive-In Theaters

Drive-In movies are an iconic part of America’s past, but you can still see a blockbuster under the stars here and enjoy a fun and unique movie night experience with the kids. There are nine screens that play newly released films and a full concession stand to supply all of your snack needs.

2. Erasures Wild West Miniature Golf

This wild west-themed putt-putt golf course offers plenty of fun outdoor activity for the entire family. There’s more than just the ‘greens’ here. There are bumper boats and go-karts if you’re looking for something a little more exhilarating.  If you work up an appetite, you can visit the snack bar for refreshments.

3. Living Treasures Wild Animal Park

This zoo boasts over 400 hundred animals. Living Treasures takes pride in providing their animals with ample living space and treating their animals with lots of care and attention. Many of the exhibits allow you and the family to get up close and personal with the animals. You can feed and pet some of the smaller animals or go for a ride on some of the bigger ones, like camels.

4. Family Bowlaway Fun Center

This establishment is much more than a bowling alley. In addition to having 40 lanes, making it an ideal place for a casual game or league events, you can play laser tag or one of the many games in the arcade. There’s also a restaurant on site where you and your family can sit down and eat after a fun-filled day.

5. Ellhurst Roller Rink

If you’re looking for a way to get your family up and active while still having fun, roller skating is a good choice. The Ellhurst Roller Rink has a huge rink with a well-maintained skating surface. You can catch a bite to eat or play games in the arcade. It’s a great place for beginners and expert skaters alike.

6. SandCastle Water Park

If you need something for you and the family to do on a hot day, check out SandCastle Water Park. They have a few different water slides to choose from as well as rafting runs. You can even catch a wave or two. If you have small children in tow, there is a kiddie pool area where they can safely play.

7. South Park Theater

This is a small theater that puts on a variety of shows including comedies, musicals, dramas as well as children’s plays. In a day and age when most of the performances we see are from behind a screen, watching a live show provides for a fun and unique experience.
