Take a trip to Tarentum and visit Norman's Orchard at 2318 Logan Road. Apple season begins in late August and continues through October. You can enjoy picking your own Wednesday through Sunday during the growing season. If you are looking for a specific type of apple, call them before you leave to check on the availability. You can also enjoy homemade apple butter and honey throughout the season. Apple cider is available throughout October.
