The 2009 Hyundai Accent comes available in three different trim levels, with six different trim options that include Manual and Automatic transmission options, as well as choices for either 2-Door or 4-Door bodystyles. Each and every Accent trim comes with a high-performance 1.6 Liter engine with Continuously Variable Valve Timing which modulates the engine's intake-valve timing as it relates to the exhaust valves. The engine is capable of producing up to 110 HP and delivering over 105 pound-feet of torque. Because of the exalted engineering that backs this vehicle, the Accent possesses improved response and fuel efficiency regardless of engine speed. It has a smooth idle and produces lower emissions, as well, as is apparent in the fact it is a certified Ultra-Low-Emission Vehicle (ULEV). All trim options operate with Front Wheel Drive, meaning the engine's power is smoothly delivered to the front wheels via the standard 5-speed manual transmission or optional 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. To top it off, some of the Accent trims also comes with a B & M Racing Short-Throw Sport Shifter (SE), as well.
